Your Message

Description of Roles:

1. Secretary
Correspondences, office room organization (files, documentation, etc), phone calls, e-mail management, invitations/ letters, mail outs, event scheduling, membership, flyers & info management inside masjid, Phone calls to invite community members to different events (e.g., community dinners, Eid).

2. Treasurer/ Fundraising
Treasury reports, tax record letters, accounting, Jumu'a collection, fundraising events, local fundraising ideas, direct deposit, etc, Brochures and pictures.

3. Education
Classes inside masjid, audio/visual, Qur'an classes, summer program, library, talks on Islam inside & outside the masjid, facilitate jumu'a and salat for employees and students, spiritual awareness, da'wah packets, new Muslim packets, newsletter, website.

4. Public Relations/ Outreach
Communicate with public officials & media, , media watch, deal with CAIR related issues, interfaith, develop community relations, look into TV and Radio programs, attending events of the ICN and taking pictures and keeping files of all events, suggestion box, work with Outreach for programs for Nashville community such as soup kitchen, heart walk, habitat, etc,, visitor packets/ welcoming committee,  Prison program, work with MSA, Masjid Sign setup.

5. Social
Monthly community dinners, picnics, Ramadhan dinners & babysitting, Eid party, Eid prayer arrangements, food arrangements during Open Houses and other functions, free medical clinic, Tax return/ accounting, zakaat distribution, distribution of clothes/ sadaqa, business directory, Sick visitations/ death visitations, Sports & Recreation/ Leagues, etc.

6. Youth
Youth boys, girls and Teenage boys and girls programs (sports, camps, halaqa, community service, etc).

7. Maintenance
For the masjid, cleanliness, beautification, renovations.

8. Graveyard

9. Land Development
Future development for community center, masjid, expansion of new school, etc.

10. Islamic Weekend School

11. Nashville International Academy (separate entity)
Looking for English/ Math tutors or any other help/ sharing a professional talk or service to the school, etc.
