The Islamic Center of Nashville is dedicated to bringing about a better understanding among Muslims and our neighbours of other faiths through open houses, lectures, classes and other various community activities. Two Juma (Friday) Prayers are held at ICN. The first Juma prayer will be held from 12:00 to 12:45 and the second prayer will be held at the regular time 1:00 to 1:45.

Eboo Patel, author of  Acts of Faith:  The Story of an American Muslim the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation, will be speaking on Tuesday, February 21, at 7pm at Vanderbilt's Langford Auditorium.  Following the speech there will be a reception for Dr. Patel.  We encourage everyone to listen to this dynamic speaker.

 

Named by US News & World Report as one of America's Best Leaders of 2009, Eboo Patel is the Founder and President of Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), a Chicago-based organization building the global interfaith youth movement and author of the award-winning book Acts of Faith. Eboo is also a regular contributor to the Washington Post, USA Today and CNN. He served on President Obama's inaugural Advisory Council of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and holds a doctorate in sociology of religion from Oxford University, where he studied on a Rhodes scholarship.
