MATRIMONIAL SERVICES

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  Your decision to marry is a spiritual covenant that is rooted in a commitment for one another. A wedding is always a joyous event, and we are honored that you have chosen us to share the occasion!

If you would like to be married at the Islamic Center of Nashville or request ICN Imam to officiate your marriage aqd (contract), you must complete the following process:

Process (steps 1-3 must be completed before the marriage contract signing):

  1. Schedule your Premarital Counseling Session by emailing imam@icntn.org. Our premarital counseling requirement is designed for the couple to gain greater insight into a harmonious marriage that is guided by Islamic teachings and principles. We pray that this process prepares both of you for the journey ahead.              

  2. Obtain a Marriage License from your Local County Courthouse. Please remember our marriage ceremonies are also legal marriages, therefore we must enforce this procedure. You may obtain a marriage license at the Davidson County Clerk’s Office at 700 2nd Ave South, Suite 101, Nashville, TN 37210.  For questions, they may be contacted at (615) 862-6256. 

  3. Submit Online Registration Form and Pay the Administrative Fee 

    • Complete the following online "Marriage Services Registration Form"

    • Pay Administrative fee: $100 for ICN Members or $300 for Non-Members via Card (debit or credit), PayPal, Check (paper or electronic) to "ICN", or Cash. Learn how to become a member here. You can check your membership status by contacting us via email)

  4. Attend the Marriage Aqd (Contract) Signing. 

    • Bring the Local County Marriage License and provided return envelope with you. 

    • The bride, groom, wali, and two witnesses must be present and bring a valid form of government identification with them (e.g. valid driver's license, passport, or ID). 

    • Please note that the Islamic Center will not provide witnesses for the ceremony, the couple must provide the two witnesses for the ceremony.

The Islamic Center of Nashville has created a confidential networking service to link Muslims seeking marriage.  It is free of charge, completely online, and open to all Muslims from any ethnic background!  Your information will be kept secure and private, only to be used for matching based on your preferences inshallah.
