All Things Ramadan 1444 | 2023 at ICN

AsSalam Alaikum Our Dear Community,

May the month of Ramadan reach us all in good health and spirit.


First Day of Ramadan

The first day of Ramadan 1444 will be Thursday, March 23rd, 2023.

The first Tarweeh will be Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023.

Prayer Times


Taraweeh

(Every Night after Isha'a)


We will pray 8 Raka'ah followed by Witr and then resume praying another 12 Raka'ah for those wishing to pray 20 Rakah.


First week we will begin Isha'a at 8:30 PM with updated time announced each Friday night


The Khatm al-Quran will be on the night of the 29th of Ramadan


There will be a 5 minute nightly talk during the break in Taraweeh prayer focused on Fiqh Issues in the West


Tahajud

We will be praying Tahajud at 3:30 AM each day for the last ten days of Ramadan followed by Suhoor beginning on the 19th day of Ramadan.


Ramadan Programs



Sponsor an Iftar of Suhoor

ICN is having Iftar for the community on weekends (Fri, Sat and Sun) and everyday during the last ten nights. Additionally, Suhoor will be provided for the community in the last ten days. You can select to sponsor full or portion of Iftar dinner/suhoor by using the link below.


ICN is also having special Iftars and halaqas for the Young Professionals and New Muslims on Thursdays and College Students on Fridays.

Zakat Ul Fitr / Fidya / Kaffara

Zakat Al-Fitr is $12 minimum per Family Member

Fidya is $15 minimum per day of fast missed

Kaffara minimum is feeding 10 masakeen for a day ($150)


Please pay your Zakat Al-Fitr /Fidya/ Kaffara by using the link below. Zakat Al-Fitr can be paid anytime during the month of Ramadan. We encourage everyone to pay early so that there is enough time to distribute to those in need.

Eid prayer

Eid prayer will be at Tennessee State University on Friday, April 21st Insha'Allah. For the method used for determining Eid Ul-Fitr, please see the following link. More info will be forthcoming as Eid nears.
