All Things Ramadan 1443 | 2022 at ICN

As-Salaamu Alaykum,


May the month of Ramadan reach us all in good health and spirit.


The first day of Ramadan 1443 will be Saturday, April 2nd 2022.

The first Taraweeh will be the night of Friday, April 1st.

Iqama Times

(Starting Friday, March 25th)

- Fajr: 6:00 AM

- Dhuhr: 1:00 PM

- Asr: 4:45 PM

- Maghrib: 10 Minutes after Adan

- Isha'a: 8:30 PM

- Fajr: 5:45 AM

- Dhuhr: 1:00 PM

Ramadan Taraweeh

8 Rakat followed with Witr and then resume praying another 12 Rakat for those wishing to pray 20. The recitation in the Taraweeh will cover the first half of each Juz every day, and we ask that individuals recite the second half if they wish to finish the entire Quran in Ramadan.


There will be a 5 minute nightly talk during the break in Taraweeh prayer focused on Issues Related to Muslims in the West.


Tahajud in last 10 days

We will be praying Tahajud at 3:15 AM each day for the last ten days followed by Suhoor beginning on Thursday, April 21st.

- Daily during the break of Taraweeh | Issues Related to Muslims in the West (In person)

- Daily 1 PM | Sisters' Maqra'ah (on Zoom)

- Various Nights 6:15 PM | Interfaith Iftar & Crash Course on Islam

- Young Professionals' Ramadan programs (more details coming soon)


Khatam Al Quran

We plan to finish the recitation of the Holy Qur'an (Khatam Al-Qur'an) with a beautiful Dua (supplication) on Zoom. Everyone is encouraged to Join!


Date: Sunday, May 1st

Time: 30 minutes before Maghrib (7:05 PM)



Sponsor an Iftar or Suhoor at ICN 12South

ICN is planning to have Iftar for the community on the weekend (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) and Iftar and Suhoor for the community every day on the last ten days.

  • Saturday, April 2nd - Sunday, April 3rd (Iftar)

  • Friday, April 8th - Sunday, April 10th (Iftar)

  • Friday, April 15th - Sunday, April 17th (Iftar)

  • Thursday, April 21st - Sunday, May 1st (Iftar & Suhoor)

ICN is also planning to have special Iftars and Suhoors for the Young Professionals, College Students, and New Muslim groups. Details will be provided soon.

Zakat ul Fitr

Zakat ul Fitr is $12 minimum per family member. Instructions on how to pay will provided when Ramadan begins.


Zakat ul Fitr can be paid anytime during the month of Ramadan. We encourage everyone to pay early so that there is enough time to distribute to those in need.

Eid prayer

Eid prayer will be at Tennessee State University on Monday, May 2nd Insha Allah. For the method used for determining Eid Ul-Fitr, please see the following link. More info will be forthcoming as Eid nears.
